About

THE HOST

Martina Bertuccio was born in Messina in '97, the day Jalisse won Sanremo with the song "Fiumi di Parole" (Rivers of Words): perhaps that's why when she opens her mouth, she is unstoppable.

After moving to Rome following high school, she started working as an assistant director for cinema, theater, and advertising, while graduating in Literature, Music & Entertainment at La Sapienza in Rome.

Since 2018, she has expanded her interests to writing and art direction: she has written a web series (Portrait) and a podcast (In Cattive Compagnie) and she serves as an art director for advertising spots, music videos, social media content, covers, and even films (currently developing the debut feature film Bagliore by Marco Mingolla).

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with RAI Cinema, Dolce&Gabbana, the Italian Ministry of Health, Makinarium s.r.l., Showlab, Diero Film, Taormina Film Festival, and others. She is the co-founder and creative director of INVERTO, a musical and independent factory for emerging artists in Southern Italy.

In 2022, she graduated with honors in TV, Cinema & New Media from IULM in Milan, with a thesis on the cinema of Lina Wertmüller. Currently, she is working with Alessandro Bisceglia on Pensa Ad Altro , her first short movie as a director. Produced by Cattive Produzioni, the film explores the struggles of a little girl dealing with intrusive thoughts.
